Privacy Policy

Agentica, LLC (“Agentica,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates Orlea, a macOS and web application for collecting links, notes, and ideas (“the Service”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your email address, display name, and profile picture. If you sign in with Google, we receive this information from Google’s OAuth service. We do not receive or store your Google password.

Content You Save

Orlea stores the links, notes, files, and other content you choose to save (“Captures”). This includes URLs, page titles, text excerpts, uploaded files, and any notes or annotations you add. When you save a link, we may fetch publicly available metadata (title, description, preview image) from the linked page to display in your boards.

Usage Data

We collect anonymized usage analytics to understand how people use Orlea and to improve the product. This includes page views, feature usage patterns, and performance metrics. We use PostHog and Vercel Analytics for this purpose. We do not sell this data or use it for advertising.

Device and Browser Information

We automatically collect standard technical information such as your browser type, operating system, and IP address. IP addresses are not stored long-term and are used only for security, rate limiting, and abuse prevention.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide, maintain, and improve the Service
  • To authenticate your identity and secure your account
  • To fetch link previews and metadata for content you save
  • To send transactional emails (account verification, password resets)
  • To analyze aggregated usage patterns and fix bugs
  • To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or security incidents

We do not use your content to train machine learning models. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

3. How We Share Your Information

We share your information only in the following circumstances:

  • Service providers: We use third-party services to operate Orlea, including Supabase (database and file storage), Vercel (hosting), PostHog (analytics), and Resend (transactional email). These providers process data on our behalf and are contractually obligated to protect it.
  • Public boards: If you choose to make a board public, its contents (captures, titles, notes, preview images) are visible to anyone with the link. Boards are private by default.
  • Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or court order, or if we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on servers in the United States, managed by Supabase and Vercel. We use encryption in transit (TLS) and follow industry-standard practices to protect your data. Uploaded files are stored in Supabase Storage with access controls tied to your account.

No method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we take reasonable steps to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete individual captures, boards, or your entire account at any time. When you delete your account, we permanently remove your personal information and content within 30 days. Some anonymized, aggregated analytics data may be retained indefinitely.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate information
  • Delete your account and associated data
  • Export your data in a portable format
  • Object to or restrict certain processing of your data

7. Cookies and Tracking

Orlea uses essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking pixels. Our analytics providers (PostHog, Vercel Analytics) may set first-party cookies to distinguish unique visitors. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but some features of the Service may not function properly.

8. Children’s Privacy

Orlea is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through a notice in the Service before the changes take effect. Your continued use of Orlea after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
